Interests - stuffed animals

I listed my interests on my main profile, but now I will do little snipits on each one with a picture. I have always liked stuffed animals, usually bears. In the past few years I have gotten small, soft, cute animals I can set next to my bed. Nothing to really be noticed but comforting. When my husband deployed he went to Build A Bear and bought a bear for me and his son. I got to pick out both, and the son's got dressed Army style. I picked my favorite one, with the softest fur. The prices there are very reasonable for all you get to do. And do he did, his voice plays in the foot. He stepped aside in the back of the store and recorded a message for me and his son each. It is so romantic and from his heart. I sleep with it every night, and will treasure it forever, even when he is back home where he belongs.

As a child I was afraid of the dark, and struggled with nightmares (I continue that today) so I had animals lined up next to me in bed. I would put them in size order and lay with a line on each side, more on the closet side. One night my mom heard a loud noise in coming from my room and thought I fell out of bed. I hadn't even woke up, but the biggest dog had rolled off and hit the closet. It was funny to hear that story as an adult, remembering how many animals slept with me each night. I still have my favorite dog animal from when I was in 5th grade. I took very good care of my animals, and he has always had on a special shirt. I wonder if MK, my husband, ever had a favorite stuffed animal? I know his son showed me his bear as soon as I got in town last time. He really loves it to, whether a boy or not. It is from his dad and that makes it special.

Having animals has comforted me my whole life and I must say this bear, Milo, has helped me sleep at night. When I am really lonely in the dark, I can just push his foot and hear my man talking to me. I named him Milo, because it was similar to miles that he would be away from me. Then we realized it was the name of the street for our apartment. He has a birth certificate that will always remind us of that little apartment and the life we had here before he went to war.
